Nevertheless, all people who were willing to accept Christ did. It was a fruitful day. By
5:00 pm, six people were saved from eternal damnation (the 10 other groups were just as fruitful or more). May you all praise God! For newborn and reborn believers will enter the heavenly realms forever and ever more through Jesus Christ!
Following God's plan.
After coming to an agreement with our team (in terms of lodging, food, and transportation), we were about to call the final calls about where and when to depart to the Luwero district. However, we had an unexpected visit from the Kasese team district. This team expected a group of missionaries to arrive at Kasese, but there were none that were intending to go there. They joined us in our meeting.
We must have someone come to our team. Please, we're all waiting for you to come. pleaded a representative from the Kasese team district.
We're sorry. We are going to go to Luwero already, we have no one going. Replied Jeannie.
Just then, the representative showed Jeannie the picture of a Kasese school. Moved by compassion, Jeannie wanted to help them some way.
We will do what we can. Assured Jeannie.
Close to the end of the day, our team had a meeting without the Ugandans.
We have two options. We can either go to Luwero with everything prepared, or we can go to the Kasese district. Keep in mind that if we go to Kasese, we won't have the support from Christian Life. That means we have to pay for everything and find our own lodging and food. Informed Jeannie.
It was a risk that we wanted to take, thus, decided as a group to change our plan 180 degrees. It seemed as though God willed us to be in Kasese and not in Luwero. Regardless, we did not know what to expect or what to do, but leave everything in God's hand.
Day 10 June 9th, Friday Mobilizing before the final send off. Just do your job. You're responsible for a piece of the puzzle, not the whole picture. I thought.
It was the day to conclude our final meeting before we departed from Sanchee. Our last meeting consisted of all team leaders including those that were representative from the Uganda districts. After I informed Missionary Kim of our change in plans, he fully complied with our decision, therefore, granted our request to leave for Kasese.
Kasese is not just any district, but right next to the Congo border. In case you are unaware, Congo is currently undergoing a war over a dispute that I am not aware of. Regardless, it is possible that we may be caught in the middle a battle, thus, it is probable that we can lose our lives.
It was a chance we were willing to take, but I was assured that God was going to keep me safe and secure. If I died while I glorified God, I know I will end up praising God within the heavenly realms 24/7. Therefore, I shall not be afraid of death!
Day 11 June 10th, Saturday Departure Day #2. 8:00 AM. We waited for the arrival of the mini van taxicab.
Alas! The cab had arrived. Let's load up the van and lea... I thought.
Uh..how many people are coming with us? I asked the Kasese team.
Eleven. Replied the team.
Eleven! Oh my goodness! What?
