By this time, my body developed a strange sickness like never before constant body sweat, cold, and diarrhea, but no fatigue. Regardless, how could I say no? I was moved with compassion to teach the children. And so I did. It was 10:30 am when we did VBS. I tell you truthfully. After that day, I felt as weak as water. I overworked my body beyond my physical limits. I was beginning to physically break down. Day 17 July 16th, Friday The fellowship was restored. Everyone, excluding the Tanzania team, gathered together once again in Uganda. It was almost time to leave our lovely base camp of Sanchee and depart towards the realm of Rwanda. It was awesome to see my friend's gathered together once again. We all were ecstatic to see each other safe and sound. It was just like the concluding scene in Lord of the Rings The Return of the King after the ring had been destroyed and everyone was together again rejoicing with laughter, praise, and excessive joy. Nonetheless, it was a time for us to share the love of Christ to Rwandans. Day 18 - July 17th, Saturday Departure day #4. "I'm on the final stretch." I thought. We departed for Rwanda with the same vision to spread Christ's name. Day 19 - July 18th, Sunday The decision between Mafia and prayer. It was late in the afternoon before we ate dinner. Inside our temporary lodging facilities, I felt that I was led out to pray together in a congregation. I discovered a group of my friends who were ready to play mafia together. I went in. Hey guys, I really feel that we should pray right now instead of playing mafia. I stated. With a look of discontent on many faces, many seemed to disagree with my request. ¡°This is our last day together, we should use it to relax and have fun together.¡± Said a person whose name should remain anonymous. Yeah, and if you want to pray, you can do it and we'll play. Supported another person. Feeling hurt and a bit frustrated, I got up and left the scene. Perhaps I was being misled, or so I thought. Okay. Let's go and pray somewhere else. Said another person whose name should also remain anonymous. Yeah, I can't believe that they would be willing to play mafia at a time like this. Yeah, this is our last day we're together, so we should use it in prayer. Personally, I can't see God in a game of lying and deceit. I was amazed at him. Here was a person who was willing to sacrifice his own selfish desires for the sake of humbling himself for the glory of the Kingdom of God through prayer and petition. We gathered together with two other people and started praying. Remember the third day where I drove out the demon in the name of Christ? This was another intensive Holy Spirit empowered prayer. God saw us with delight and blessed our prayer through rest and physical and spiritual empowerment. He gave us encouragement through Psalm 31. All of us felt a sense of spiritual attack and were very weak, But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, ¡°You are my God. My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love. Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and lie silent in the grave. Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous. This was only a portion of God's blessing upon us that night. We all felt satisfied and overwhelmed with joy. We knew that God would be our deliver and strength. It said so in the Bible. |
