For
the 21st time, Rwandans in Rwanda and elsewhere in the world and all
friends of Rwanda commemorate the tutsi who were killed during the 1994 Rwanda
Genocide. During and in only 100 days a million tutsi were killed a tragedy
that befell the country living it hopeless with very many widows, orphans,
traumatized and sick community.
¡°To
those who teach us freedom, democracy and human rights while protecting those
who killed one million of our people, we say to you: Rwanda has changed for
good and forever. We will stand up for our right. How can you plot my death at night and give
me lessons about how to live my life in the morning? Rwanda we are a small
country in the middle of nowhere but a country of people, who have pride in
themselves, people who are ready for peace and for war for our rights¡±
That is President Kagame speaking at the 21st
commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi even after putting on the light
of hope which will go down after the 100 days
Although
the Genocide left a couple of challenges in the country but we are proud to
mention that the country has merged from a far, through thick and thin but we are
standing up to fight for the rights of
our country. Regardless of what we have gone through as a country, but a lot
has been achieved throughout these 21years. The broken hearts have been mended,
the wounded souls have healed and others are still healing, the country has
been re-built, unity and reconciliation has been emphasized on and we have seen
the fruits, hope has been restored, peace in all corners of the country has
been established, and many more other good things have been achieved.
Rwandans
are now living comfortably and working for their country a thing that did not
work out for Rwandans only but also for foreigners who find it easy to invest
in this country. We accredit this to the
good leadership in a lead of President Paul Kagame who have worked tirelessly to
see this country come out doom. During this week very many activities are
conducted including sessions of history about the genocide and Rwanda before
colonialism. Rwandans including foreigners visit the memorials sites for
detailed information and do many more activities.
The
commemoration week goes for a week from 7th through the 13th
and it is yesterday that we ended the morning week. However this period goes
through the 4th/07 which is the liberation day, the day when the RPF
soldiers (Now Rwanda Defense Force) seized power and stopped the Genocide. We
convey our sincere gratitude to the government of Rwanda for the a great work
that they have done in the country and the also the RDF for having fought
valiantly in order to liberate the country
With
the light hope, the country is no more hopeless, that is why we remember while
rebuilding our selves and the country as well, even though we still have the
challenge brought by those who deny Genocide, but we are strong and we will go
through it well, we will keep encouraging the Rwandans to change their mind set
and hence this giving Rwanda a brighter future. We remember our people but we
strive to come out of agony and rebuilt our country in order to live in a proud
Rwanda as proud Rwandans.

Live President Paul Kagame and Long Live Rwanda
