Hello
there greetings to everyone. I know you
have been for quiet along time waiting for the English page on our website,
this is the right time now, and you will be following right there everything in
both Korean and English. The English
page will tackle on all issues as the Korean page has been doing and so you
will find it easy to explore all the good things that World Mission Frontiers
will be delivering to you.
World
Mission Frontiers as most of you have read already read about it was founded by
Missionary Paul Kim (Pyung Lyuk Kim) a South Korean by nationality who lives in
the United States of America. As a writer in the first instance, he arrived in
Rwanda for the very first time to in 1994 to write and report on the tragedy of
Genocide that had befallen the country where a million Tutsis were massacred in
cold blood. It is from here that he was called by God to serve beyond writing
and reporting the situation in Rwanda, people at this time were in need of very
many things, there was insecurity, poverty, many widows and orphans, diseases
of all sorts, and very many other challenging situations of which the country
alone could not afford to sort out by its self. Therefore the country needed
very many hands to support in this situation as the government was finding out
means to rebuild the entire country and above all that; restore peace and hope
to the people who were all hopeless by that time.
Missionary
Kim entered the country at the very time when the country needed such people at
their deepest, that¡¯s when he began with relief programs, supporting the
orphans, widows, the refugees in camps and different groups of vulnerable
people to settle down and begin life from nil because almost all the survivors
were left with nothing. At this point he helped the vulnerable ones in many
ways including the following;
Finding accommodation for the needy
Establishing orphanages for the orphans
Establishing nursery schools to help orphans go
back to go school
Supported them with food and clothing and shoes
Provided medicine and other medical materials
because they were scarce at that time
Started training people especially on issues of
restoration of hope unity and reconciliation
He encouraged more training to church leaders
whom he believed who play a very big role in taking people through the healing
process, encourage forgiveness, unity, reconciliation, restoration of hope
He also did a great work of evangelism
especially in the refugee camps and encouraged people to forgive each other of
all their wrongs and also to come back in their country since there was peace
regardless of the living conditions that were still rough
Missionary Kim encouraged very many Koreans
and Americans to come to Rwanda and experience by themselves what the country
had gone through and from there they would be able to play a role in the
renovation of the country through very many ways. That was done and very many
people came into the country, and they were of big help and today a couple of
achievements have been noted.
Since
we have opened up this English page we will keep updating you on a couple of
things and we therefore welcome you to be part of us and enjoy exploring the
goodness of the Lord throughout. Thank you for being part us.
