<40 consecutive days of fasting and prayer in 2024>
    Third week (April 7 - 13)

¡ÜPrayer topic of the week
1. Please continue to pray for the prayer topics of the past two weeks.
•First week: Ministries and local ministers from each mission center in five African countries and missionaries sent off.
•Second week: For construction taking place in Africa

¡ÜThird week: For the establishment of universities and colleges
Establishing a university is very difficult.
In order to establish a university, a foundation must be established with businessmen or large churches to receive support, but it is difficult for one person to establish four universities at the same time.
Even in this situation, I believe and pray that the university will be built through prayer.
¡°We have this treasure in jars of clay, so that we may know that the far-surpassing power belongs to God and not to us¡± (2 Peter 4:7)

1. For accreditation of Ugandan universities
•UWMF in Uganda has received accreditation from ACTEA, the accrediting body for seminaries on the African continent, and awards diploma, bachelor's, and master's degrees.
•Since 2013, we have been working to obtain accreditation for the university's undergraduate programs (Department of Theology, Department of Business administration, and Department of IT) from the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE), Uganda's Ministry of Education.
•We received an Interim Authority Letter in 2018 and started as a University of World Mission Fronter, Project, but were unable to invest in facilities and applied for a Provisional License in 2021.
•In a situation where facilities are insufficient in July 2022, recommendations for university accreditation are being processed through NCHE's on-site verification.
We have been supplementing many recommendations, but most of them have not been completed because they require finances.

¡áPlease pray for what we are lacking so that we can handle the recommendations that we have not yet been able to handle.
(1) Fence construction around the university site (approximately $20,000)
(2) School bus ($20,000 - $30,000)
(3) A new dormitory was built and the dormitory and cafeteria were relocated. Construction to convert classrooms used as temporary dormitories and cafeterias into classrooms and offices (USD 15,000)
(4) To purchase books for the library and supplies for offices and classrooms.

2. For accreditation of Kigali Center University, Rwanda
•In accordance with the Rwandan government's announcement in 2019, the seminary, which had 500 students, was temporarily closed and accreditation from the Ministry of Education is being pursued.
•We applied for accreditation for a theological college or graduate school called World Mission Theological Seminary, but Ministry of Education Act was revised in February 2022 and that universities with one program are not authorized.
We were informed that in order to award a master's degree, the university must open four or more departments.
•Over the past two years, We have prepared and applied for documents for 14 departments in 4 faculties (College of Theology, College of Economics, College of Science and Technology, and College of Education).
•Construction of a new 4-story building has begun to open a general department.
•In early February 2024, an on-site inspection was conducted by a team of 31 HEC (Higher Education Council) professionals.
•Meanwhile, a local temporary vice president had been preparing the documents, but the documents were insufficient, and I was told what departments needed in Rwanda. There was also advice that it would be difficult for theological department to pass the State Council.
•Currently, we have re-established a team of experts and are rewriting accreditation applications for bachelor's degrees in five programs in the College of Science and Technology, College of Economics and Commerce, and College of Education, excluding the College of Theology.
•In addition, because the vice president is in charge of all academic and administrative affairs, President Oh Gyu-hoon, who was appointed president, accepted the vice president position and is currently staying in Rwanda.
(Because the vice president must always go to work at the university, President Oh Gyu-hoon decided to move to Rwanda.)

¡áPray for the final stage of accreditation for Rwandan universities.
(1) Document preparation by a team of experts to be completed completely by early May.
(2) Rwanda¡¯s presidential election is held in July. If you submit documents in May and do not conduct an on-site inspection by HEC experts within June, it will be difficult to obtain approval within the year. To ensure that field implementation takes place before the presidential election.
(3) President Oh Gyu-hoon, who was appointed as ATU Chancellor, decided to stay in Rwanda to take full charge of administrative and academic affairs. Pray for Vice Chancellor Dr. Oh Gyu-hoon
(4) To provide minor items such as computers, books, and office supplies (USD 20,000)
(5) To purchase a school bus, which is mandatory for establishing a university (USD 20,000-30,000)
(6) Once a university is accredited, faculty and staff salaries are paid and school operating expenses are required. To have sponsors to support professor salary ($800-$1,000 per month) and student scholarships ($1,000 per year).
(7) Please pray for the appointment of the first Chancellor who will work for the development of the University of Rwanda.

3. Tanzania Isole Center College and Theological Seminary/Graduate School

In Isole, Tanzania, 150 acres of land has been prepared and construction is underway with the goal of establishing a theological college, graduate school, and agricultural university.
First, an application for accreditation was submitted to start the college with its current facilities, resulting in an on-site inspection by the Ministry of Education.
If some recommendations are met, including school buses, restrooms, cafeterias, and canteens, schools can start this fall semester.

Pray for these
(1) To supplement facilities (First, if a budget of about $30,000 is urgently secured, the facility can be supplemented.)
(2) School bus (20,000-30,000 dollars)
(3) Please pray that we can secure teachers and pay their salaries.
(4) A branch school of UWMF in Uganda is in operation. We conduct classes and prepare to apply for ACTEA accreditation in order to recruit many students.

(2) For UWMF/KBBA seminary courses
(3) For school approval, facilities such as three bathrooms, a school bus, and a dormitory are required.
